Your data is stored using Supabase (hosted on secure cloud infrastructure) and locally on your device using browser localStorage. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data.

Encryption: Data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
Authentication: Secure authentication via Supabase Auth with industry-standard protocols
Access Controls: Strict access controls and authentication requirements for our systems

How to Exercise Your Rights in the App

Delete Your Account (Erasure):

Navigate to your Profile page in the Articulate app
Scroll to the "Account Settings & Privacy" section at the bottom
Click "Delete Account"
Follow the confirmation prompts (you'll need to type your email to confirm)
Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted immediately

Export Your Data (Data Portability):

Navigate to your Profile page in the Articulate app
Scroll to the "Account Settings & Privacy" section at the bottom
Click "Export Data"
Your data will be downloaded as a JSON file containing all your Articulate data

Note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your progress, XP, streaks, badges, custom scenarios, and practice data will be permanently deleted. If you're experiencing issues, please contact support before deleting your account.

7. Children's Privacy

Articulate is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ. By using Articulate, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries.

9. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Articulate uses localStorage and sessionStorage to store preferences and session data locally on your device. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have specific rights regarding your personal information:

Right to know if personal information is sold or disclosed
