      Platomo is designed with a privacy-first architecture. Your financial data stays on your device by default, and we collect only what is strictly necessary to provide the service.
    

1. Information We Collect

Account data — When you create an account we store your email address and an encrypted password hash via Supabase Auth.

Financial data you enter — Transactions, budgets, savings goals, and profile information you choose to save. This data is stored in your Supabase account and cached locally on your device for offline access.

AI-processed data — When you use AI features (Smart Scan, AI advice, budget suggestions), the relevant financial context is sent to Google Gemini for processing. We do not store AI prompts or responses on our servers beyond the immediate request.

Guest mode — If you use Platomo as a guest, all data is stored only in your browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve the Platomo app experience
To sync your data across devices when you are signed in
To generate AI-powered financial insights and advice
To send smart reminders you have opted into

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal financial data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is shared only with:

Supabase — Cloud database and authentication provider
Google Gemini API — AI processing for financial analysis features (via our secure edge function; your API key is never exposed client-side)
RevenueCat — Subscription management (if you use premium features)

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Supabase's secure infrastructure with row-level security policies. Sensitive data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Local data is stored via the browser's localStorage API.

5. Your Rights & Controls

Privacy toggles — Control which data powers AI insights from your Profile page
Data deletion — You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us
Export — Your transaction data can be exported from the app
Guest mode — Use Platomo without creating an account; data stays on your device

6. Children's Privacy

Platomo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the app or on this page with an updated effective date.
